Sterling Board of Health adopts noise regulation authority and approves geese deterrents. The Board unanimously approved adding formal authority to establish noise and nuisance regulations under state law and unanimously approved purchasing two solar-powered lights at $450 each to deter geese from the town beach and ball fields. The Board also unanimously approved a local upgrade approval for 12 Oakwood Drive, permitting a septic system with a four-foot soil absorption offset and imposing a three-bedroom deed restriction.

The Board will use the state Department of Public Health pool inspection checklist for future inspections of the three pools in Sterling.
