Conservation Commission approves five wetland projects and accepts new member.

Sterling Conservation Commission unanimously approved five residential and infrastructure projects subject to wetlands law and accepted Will Frankian as a full Commissioner. Chair Matthew Marro presided with Commissioners Erik Mendoza, Scott Michalak, and Chris O'Neil present. Standard Orders of Conditions were issued for Edward and Lynn Philbin's septic and house repair at 31 Gibbons Drive (contingent on Board of Health approval), Christopher McNamara's single-family home at Maple Street Lot 4, Robert Julius's single-family home at Maple Street Lot 7 (with eleven special conditions), Thomas Haven's failed septic replacement at 52 Maple Street, and EcoTec's retroactive culvert replacement on Campground Road (contingent on state Water Quality Certification).
A Negative Determination was issued for Shawn Mikkelson's septic replacement at 14 School Street. The Commission ratified two Enforcement Orders for tree-cutting violations and continued the stormwater permit public hearing to April 21, 2026.
