DPW Facility Committee approves revised floor plan with cost-reduction changes.
DPW Facility Committee · Meeting of January 12, 2026
STERLING — The Sterling DPW Facility Committee unanimously approved a revised floor plan combining cost-reduction measures including shop consolidation and elimination of a center vehicle-storage aisle. Chair Jonathan Morini's panel also backed a not-to-exceed $55,000 budget for structural, environmental, code, and electrical assessments of the existing building, noting repairs to current code may cost as much as new construction. Owner's Project Manager cost estimates are due mid-February.
A joint meeting with the Finance Committee and Select Board is scheduled for the first week of March to review schematic design and pricing ahead of town meeting.
