STERLING — DPW Facility Committee moves toward $25 million new facility proposal. The Sterling committee approved a preliminary cost estimate of $25 million for a new Department of Public Works building, which includes finished design and construction at 25 percent reduction in size. Jonothan Morini, chair, will present the proposal at a joint meeting March 4 with town boards and committees at the Sterling Senior Center, featuring cost breakdowns, current facility limitations, and renovation alternatives.

Attendees will be invited to tour both the existing DPW building and a comparable new facility.
