STERLING — The Sterling Finance and Capital Budget committees heard a presentation on the redesigned DPW facility project, which has been reduced by 8,700 square feet of building space and 1,600 square feet of canopy. The five-member DPW Facility Committee selected the site and plans; Weston & Sampson serves as architect and designer, while Vertex, the mandated Owner Project Manager for projects over $1.5 million, manages budget and schedule. The building's "Risk IV" classification requires enhanced codes to keep it operational during natural disasters.
