STERLING — Library trustees approve prior minutes and learn waiver could let exterior lift reopen in weeks. Facilities Manager Chuck Goss told the board that an additional $55,000 will be needed at May town meeting to finish the lobby expansion project, but Gorman Richardson Lewis Architects has sought a waiver from the Massachusetts Architectural Access Board that could allow the lift to operate within weeks while lobby work continues through July 2027. Library Director Alex Grebinar will present the FY27 budget to the Finance and Capital committees on February 5, flagging a projected roof replacement need in two to three years and requesting increased Head of Youth Services hours.
