Sterling's Open Space Implementation Committee unanimously approved a $110 expenditure for a booth at the September Sterling Fair to promote the committee's work to the community. In related business, Chuck Plaisted reported that town meeting approved $12,500 for trail clearing and that funds designated for a privacy hedge along Waushacum Meadow Trail have been folded into a MassTrails Grant application. Christine Nelson identified two 61A properties--parcels 42-12 off Hardscrabble Road and 10-1 off North Row Road--as priorities for consideration, while committee members discussed streamlining notification of future 61A sales through coordination with the Department of Conservation and Recreation.
