Planning Board advances some zoning amendments, tables others.

Sterling Planning Board moves forward with minor zoning amendments and senior housing bylaw for public hearing March 12, but defers inclusionary zoning and compact overlay proposals. Chairman Carl Corrinne, citing the absence of a town planner and concern about overwhelming voters, moved to advance a subset of the 12-page amendment package. Vice Chair Eric Newman and Michael Temple opposed the narrowed scope, but the board voted 3-2 to proceed with minor amendments and the senior housing bylaw while tabling the two remaining proposals.
