Select Board approves FY27 warrant articles, $25M DPW facility project.

Sterling Select Board approves 32 warrant articles for May 4 annual town meeting. Chair Kirsten Newman and the full board endorsed a $25 million Department of Public Works facility project, the FY27 town budget, a $1,590,037.20 water operating budget with $375,000 in capital improvements, and $300,000 for public safety communications upgrades, all unanimously. The board also approved three percent cost-of-living adjustments across compensation schedules and stipend positions, shifted employee insurance contribution rates to limit town costs, and referred two citizen petitions on inclusionary zoning and protective zoning amendments to the Planning Board for public hearings.

Health Agent David Favereau announced his retirement effective April 3 after years of service.
