Sterling approves Peace Pole, fire memorial relocation on town common. The Select Board voted 4 to 1 to install the Rotary-sponsored Peace Pole in the far-right corner of the town common, with Chair Cranson voting against. In a unanimous vote, the board approved relocating the fire memorial from the town common to Memorial Park next to the Police Memorial.
