Select Board backs $25 million DPW facility project, appoints O'Connor to Cable Advisory Committee.

STERLING — Select Board approves $25 million DPW facility project after recent joint committee review. The board voted unanimously to fund a new building, rejecting renovation of the existing structure estimated at $21.4 million. The revised proposal represents a reduction from the original $33 million price.

In other action, the board appointed Joseph O'Connor, a retired engineer and former Sterling Community Television member, to the Cable Advisory Committee, and unanimously approved a weekly $500 stipend to Patty Page to serve as interim planning coordinator for the Planning Board during a fiscal 2027 pilot program.
