Sterling Assessors approve March minutes, deny deferral application.

Sterling Board of Assessors approves March minutes and conducts routine business. The board unanimously approved March 30, 2026 regular and executive minutes and denied one deferral application that did not qualify for relief. Regional Assessor Rob Heckman reported that all supplemental tax assessments are complete, including a new gas station project slated for supplemental assessment that will generate additional town revenue.

Heckman is coordinating with Chapter Land Specialist Marina Scheid on a comprehensive review and update of all Chapter properties as owners respond to designation-change inquiries.
