Sterling Cultural Council approves two bicentennial grants and welcomes new member. The council voted unanimously to fund "Music: America's 250th - Something to Sing About!" and "Poetry: America in Many Voices" at $25 each, both proposed by member David Schneider. A family paint night drew 36 paid attendees and 32 participants; a community dance attracted approximately 15 youth and will repeat.
Council member Dhivyaa Chelvan reported a potential photography exhibit by Native American artist Scott Strong Hawk Foster and will research venues. Matt Kooyomjian will assume the secretary role in April, succeeding Patricia Ward.
