Sterling Finance and Capital Budget Committees approve appointments amid leadership transitions. The committees unanimously confirmed Ezequiel Ayala's reappointment to the Finance Committee and John Kilcoyne as Finance Committee Vice Chair, and approved Mike Padula's appointment to the DPW Building Committee, pending Select Board ratification June 24. Mark Gauthier and Lynne Sheppard announced their retirements.

The committees discussed the May 4 Annual Town Meeting's $300,000 Communications-Dispatch warrant, which passed the floor vote 366 to 99 but failed the subsequent ballot vote, leaving no appropriation available.
